Diagnosis // Heartaches

Stage 1: Severe
Where acknowledgement of the condition takes place. It feels like your heart popped right out of your chest and where it use to be now feels empty. But that is okay because that is normal. We can just cover up that wound with a band-aid. And if you already started crying by now then please do cry, cry until that last tear falls. It is okay to cry because you are human after all. It just proves that your heart is still truly there and you really do care.

slowly and surely, you will transition into

Stage 2: Moderate
The grey area. It is the constant battle between I can live without that person because I am a strong independent person and I really really miss and love that person so why can't we just be together  mentality. The phase where you will go through a lot of highs and lows. Yes, you may cry again and that is okay. A lot of thinking and wondering will occur during this period, no matter how many times you think that you have finalized on a thought or idea.

ever more slowly but surely, I can only imagine that you will transition into

Stage 3: Mild
Where the half broken heart and half healed heart with a scab over it exists. Half of you is settled on the thought that you can and will live/manage/be okay brilliant without them. While another half of you still cares for that person very deeply. That half that still loves them is now the soft spot of your heart, that will now forever exist for that person. The sad truth is, that is indeed your weakness because you know that if they were to ever appear in your life again you will love them again in a heartbeat.

& if it is a jumble of all of the above, then m'friend you are still experiencing a heartache. I know it's hard, you will feel progress and suddenly you may just regress but eventually you will make it.. Try the following prescriptions to help your condition:

- 100 mL of friends and family. Soak in their love for you and give them your love too!
- 50 mL of something new to try that is totally different and requires you to learn it. Because I understand if you don't have passion or the mood to do what you usually like to do because a part of you don't feel like being that person anymore right? Well if yes, then try something new. If no, then direct your energy to whatever you love doing.
- 150 mL of presently important to-dos. YOU gotta do them and you have to face them in tears or what not because if you don't then your future will look just as depressing as your present.
- 1000 lbs of sustenance. Whatever you can force down that esophagus.
& of course don't overdose, you go by your own limits.

One day though, I really hope that your heart will no longer ache and that is when you enter

Stage 4: Being Cured
I can't tell you exactly how long this whole process will take days, weeks, maybe even years but heartaches can be cured. I know heartaches suck don't they? Just like a cold, unexpected sometimes but all you can do is live with it.  I really believe that soon enough your heart will be cured, in the sense that your heart will no longer feel like it is broken into a million pieces. Your heart will be mended back together by a lot of self-healing and time ..because that is what usually happens under a band-aid anyways right?

REVIEW // Benefit Roller Lash

I have noticed a lot of posts, pictures and videos of the Roller Lash on the interwebs lately and it has made me really curious about this mascara. Like will it really hold a nice curl without an eyelash curler? even super straight Asian lashes? and why is it worth $29 (CDN)?

...well now I know

How did I end up with that sample anyways?
No it wasn't from winning any contests or giveaways, just simply from good ol' Sephora. I randomly asked about the Roller Lash at Sephora the other day and the lady actually tells me that they were giving out samples of it (to beauty insiders that present an email that was sent out). And you guessed it, I found that email. So if by any chance you are a beauty insider too, and the nearest Sephora still has samples of it then why not go redeem one for yourself?

But is it worth the trip?
In a way yes and no. It's a YES since you are getting a free mini mascara, it's a no because it isn't a  MUST HAVE mascara (in my opinion). I don't know if it's because of the sample size quality or the mascara formula itself.. but on my lashes

+ it has a light weight feeling (lighter than Benefit's They're Real Mascara)
+ it is easy to remove
+ lengthens the lashes

but it still clumped my lashes together
and it didn't curl my lashes as much as I expect it to without an eyelash curler.. it also didn't hold a curl very well even after the use of a eyelash curler either

In the end of the day:
I can live without a $29 mascara and be happy with my drugstore mascaras. However, I think that this mascara may work amazingly well for someone with longer lashes.

Kinkaku Izakaya // Kitchener, Ontario

Hello there! Welcome to the first BECCABITE (;

Kinkaku Izakaya on Urbanspoon

Today I will finally be sharing with you a must-visit restaurant to go to for ALL YOU CAN EAT sushi in the Waterloo area. I was hesitant at first (as my roommate recommended this place) to think that this sushi restaurant would be worth a 20/25 min bus ride. However, after going there the first time, the second time and the third, fourth time.. it honestly beats all the rest in the area. Yes, Kinkaku Izakaya is the place! Located in front of the Kitchener City Hall, and a few minutes walk from the Charles Street Terminal. Their price is roughly $1 more than their competitors but TRUST it is well worth whatever you will be eating!

I really wanted to show you some of their yummy dishes, however, my pictures will definitely not do it justice and could possibly just disgust you so I would really recommend you to just go there and see it for yourself. If you can book a table ahead of time, please try to because wait time could be roughly 1hr+. On the other hand, you also only have an hour and forty five minutes to dine. The lighting is pretty dim inside, but the servers are rockets! They move pretty quickly to serve you your food, clear away your empty dishes and take your order too.

A few items that you should definetely try would be their Takoyaki, Ebimayo, Beef Roll with Enoki Mushroom, Karaage (FRIED BONELESS CHICKEN PIECES PEOPLE), their Beef Teriyaki (WHICH COMES ON A SIZZLING PLATTER TYPE OF THING) and of course their Coconut ice-cream. What I really like about this place is that their dishes actually arrive hot and not warm, so it feels like they really just cooked it then and there + no other restaurants nearby offer those type of items. Do you see why that $1 extra is worth it now? Then of course, their sushi is no where below par as they don't use too much rice and just enough of whatever the filling is.

I have only went there for lunch and have yet to try their dinner menu. Which features some pretty enticing dishes that I want to try... like DEEP FRIED MARS BAR is on that menu! So all and all, the next time you want to go out for ayce sushi you should really consider Kinkaku Izakaya.

Thank you for reading yet another post!
Until next time,
